Hey
Fam:)
How are
ya? First of all thank you for all of the Dear Elders (Sisters). They helped me
so much. I'm very grateful for supportive friends and family. Many people here
don't have that kind of support. I sent a letter to you yesterday so hopefully
you get it today.
I love
MTC life!!! I'm so happy all the time! Even when I'm stressed the spirit
comforts me. I feel like it hasn't left my side. There is an extreme amount of
power here. I can feel it just walking around. It truly is amazing. The MTC
life really is real life. It's the way the Lord wants us to work and truly is
inspired.
I love
my companion!!!!!! Her name is Sister Hall. She's from Emery county, she's a
small town girl:) She is absolutely hilarious and says it how it is. We work
great together and guess what? When I had my laughing hysterical stress relief
attacks, she has one right beside me. Who knew I wasn't the only one in the
world that had that problem:) She doesn't have the same support as me so please
pray for her and send her letters. She is AMAZING.
We
get up at 6:25, or like today 5:45 and do pilates wahoo, and get ready. Then we
do our personal study. Then usually the class room for more studying. We study
all day long:) I love my DISTRICT!
"Wow
you have a nice spirit about you. Thanks, it's a gift from my district;)"
A little hunger games humor never hurt anyone:)
They
are awesome! We were awkward at first but we are buds now. The Elders keep us
sane like comparing prayer to a pb and j sandwich:) Yeah we laugh a lot. The 18
year old elders are doing great. I can still see the difference between the
older ones but they are so ready and amazing. I love calling everyone Elders
and Sisters.
Guess
what! I've seen Liz, Cougar Einfelt, Charley Fredrickson, my teacher brother
Littlefield was in my English class at UVU, and tons of other Darts:) I see
them everywhere.
I've
learned so much! It's like the best institute class you've ever had all day
long. Yesterday we had a BOM read and we read the first 4 verses of the BOM and
our teacher asked us what stood out to us. Then he asked what we were going to
do about it. This really improved my study. It was so simple but so powerful.
We were reading about Nephi and I was just thinking about what a solid guy he
is. He is a spiritual giant with so much faith. He's been through a lot but
he's not afraid. If you leave time to ponder the scriptures and really listen
to the spirit you will be guided in the right direction to serve our Heavenly
Father. Then do something about it. I know this to be true.
I can't
stop smiling:) People have told me that on a mission you don't feel the spirit
24/7 but I really think it's close. I can feel him prompting me to serve my
companion, listen to my teachers, and just feel the peace that the gospel
brings:)
Sister
Hall and I are teaching Julia. Please pray for her to feel the love of her
Heavenly Father. I think our first lesson was awesome:) We were on FIRE!
I love
you so much:)
Talk to
you next week:)
Love,
Sister Gibbs
