Who Knew Missionaries Were Wedding Planners :)

FAMILY, SO MANY MIRACLES!!!

This week was full of them!

Fall is beautiful here! Leaves everywhere and the weather is perfect!

Well Gibbs Family guess what?! In the Madison stake conference yesterday Sis. Ashcroft, the 1st counselor in the stake Relief Society, was giving a talk about missionary work, and talked about Elder John Henry Gibbs! Our way back cousin who served in the Southern states and was killed at Kane creek while serving! I had a Gibbs proud moment when the whole stake was learning about him and his sacrifice. It made me feel like he was there with me. Who knows he's probably the Angel who is moving things right along here in the south. He was a missionary, died for the Gospel, served in the South, and died for it! Sis. Ashcroft's ancestor was the missionary who opened the area after Elder Gibbs! I talked with her a bit and she's going to take me to the monument in Tennessee on a P-day! Learning about him gave me a special purpose here in the South :) Brother Beard's (not sure how he was related) jaw dropped when he saw my name tag haha :) Good people.

So who knew that Missionaries were wedding planners? We are teaming up with the relief society to create a cute little wedding for Nate and Angela.:) (conference miracle) And guess what?! Their baptisms will follow :) Talk about a BIG day :) We went to their house yesterday and they were tragic, everything that happened this week was weighing on them and they needed our help. We got there right when they were going to leave, MIRACLE! Nate was having doubts. He told us that Bro. Banks was right when he told them that life was going to get extremely hard before their baptism and that he didn't know if he could do it anymore. He believed what the Devil wanted him to believe, that he's good where he's at. He feels better than he did before the lessons but he didn't want to make life any harder. We were able to encourage him and answer his prayers. It's amazing that we can do that through the spirit.  We also basically asked him to marry his wife. TOAST!  We mentioned the wedding several times and I guess it didn't sink in. He said, "WHAT y'all are creepin this up on me too!" Then he smiled and said after a lengthy talk about marriage, that he always felt like marriage was right for him :)

DA DA DA DAAAAA, DA DA DA DAAAAAA!- that is translated into the wedding song fyi.

There are so many miracles all around us. OUR GOD IS A GOD OF MIRACLES! So this is Sis. Wilson's last week of her mission. Please keep her in your prayers. It's going to be the best week of her mission :) We get transfer calls on Saturday! Yippy Skippy :)

Love Y'all
Sister Gibbs :)
