Power Rangers and Powerful Missionaries :)

This week Latereis was baptized! Latereis is the grandchild of Addine who is a recent convert to the church! He is the coolest 10 year old in the world! He pretty much heard all the lessons with his grandma but wanted to wait till he could grow a beard to be baptized:) Crazy kid. Finally the Elders broke the ice after a lengthy discussion of power rangers and he was baptized on the 22nd! He is amazing:)

I had a great study this morning! I was reading in Alma 56 about the stripling warriors. Wow those were some brave souls. The verses that the spirit brought to my attention was vs. 45, 46, and 47.

"45 And now I say unto you, my beloved brother Moroni, that never had I seen so great COURAGE, nay, not amongst all the Nephites.

46 For as I had ever called them my sons (for they were all of them VERY YOUNG) even so they said unto me: Father, behold our GOD IS WITH US, and he will not suffer that we should fall; then let us go forth; we would not slay our brethren if they would let us alone; therefore LET US GO, lest they should overpower the army of Antipus.

47 Now they never had fought, yet THEY DID NOT FEAR DEATH; and they did think more upon the liberty of their fathers than they did upon their lives; (ARROWS OUT) yea, they had been taught by their mothers, that if THEY DID NOT DOUBT, God would deliver them.

These men were courageous for the Lord, even though they were YOUNG, they knew that God was with them. Sometimes I forget that GOD IS WITH US. Sometimes I forget that this is his plan to have the weak conquer the strong. Friends, we are where we are supposed to be, doing what we are supposed to be doing!

The spirit reminds me that it's ok to have days where God seems distant. It's ok to feel stranded on the march to the battle. He's coming and we all know he trusts us. These are simple truths, but if God was always there we would be sitting in the Garden of Eden wondering what to do next! LET US GO and do. I know that the Lord's Grace is with us constantly through this battle. I know it!!!!!

We don't need to fear. When we find a weak spot we can smile and think of the young stripling warriors. God is with us just like he was with them. My favorite part is where vs 47 says "they did think more upon the liberty of their fathers than they did upon their lives;" When we fight for the right reasons and think of our heritage we can't fail. When we remember our fathers’ sacrifices and even Jesus Christ great sacrifice we can receive the power to give it all we've got! When we remember the love that the Savior has for the people we are meeting we can't lose. ARROWS OUT! NEVER DOUBT!

I love Y'all have the best week ever :D

Love :)

Hey Fam,
Happy Valentines! What a great day to tell everyone you love them :) Love is the best!
Here's a funny.
On Valentine’s Day I sent out a mass text to the Sisters that said, "We love you so much! For as long as the Alabama/Mississippi skies are blue, for eternity! Lots of Love Sisters:)" Guess what! I accidentally sent it to the whole zone including all the Elders! It was very toasty (TOAST thrive on awkward situations and the t is just awkward) HILARIOUS! Sister Allred and I laughed for 30 minutes straight!!!!!! We were laughing as we were falling asleep! Good times :)

This week we had Zone Conference and it was super awesome! It's such a special experience to be around so many missionaries for 8 hours!  The army assembles! Wahoo! I've never felt so much excitement in my life! Sister Allred and Sister Mason sang "Amazing Grace" for the musical number and it was incredible! Sister Hanks trained on Love and how it should be our motivator. President also tells us frequently how we shouldn't let fear or duty be our reason for doing good, but LOVE. It's how we succeed my friends. This is how we become disciples! Of course we have to pray for Christ-like love, but I testify that we can love everyone through his Grace :)
Joshua is doing awesome! He is still as elect as ever. We've been teaming up with the Elders to teach him and he asks the most amazing questions. We taught him the Plan of Salvation and the WHOLE time he said "well that makes sense!" He was thrilled to find out that we lived with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ before we were born. He asks so many questions that we have answers to! ELECT!
This week was kinda rough physically. Sister Allred and I got the Elders virus!!! They've been sick for a while and we finally got it. Heavenly Father is so good to us! Every time we were teaching we didn't even feel sick! We contacted 100+ people in the mall and asked them to be baptized and Heavenly Father strengthened us the whole time.
Friends and Family the Gospel is so true. Let's be fearless with the Lord and have our confidence in Him. He will help us share the Gospel. He promised! I love y'all! Be safe!

Crush Satan's Head!

I've been wondering why I'm in Tupelo and why I'm an STL. I received an answer this week. After MLC Sister Allred and I decided to have a sister conference call. In this conference call I was super honest about my life long struggles with perfectionism, negative thoughts, and how I've learned to rely on the Lord. I knew the sisters needed to hear it, but not gonna lie it was hard to tell everyone my weakness because I'm very much still working on yoking myself to the Savior. Listening to the wrong voice is something I have to fix every day of my life. Some days are better than others, but I don't like to have people notice I'm struggling. The spirit told me to share my experiences so I did. I hope it helped the sisters. My answer to my prayer was that I need to get over the powerful effect I can have on people, be myself, and lead by example. I'm progressing.

Alma 43 Emmaus experience.

Remember Satin's Intentions vs. 29-30

Prepare for attack vs. 33

Protect the vital parts of our spirits vs. 38

Protection on all sides (help each other) vs. 41-43

Christ is constant vs. 46

Rely on the Lord as a family/army vs. 49-51

Enemies encircled (our negative thoughts) vs.52-53

Our thoughts control our destiny.

This week was like one big Emmaus experience! We met Joshua! Once upon a time we contacted 123 people in the mall during hour of power and only 2 people said they were interested. This week we walked into Wendy's and started talking to a man and he proceeded to tell us his whole life story and how he doesn't know his purpose, wants to come closer to God, and doesn't know why he is in Tupelo. He continued to explain that his girlfriend told him that she was having his baby, but she found out that it wasn't his 5 months in! This man was lost and confused and we just happened to run into him at Wendy's! It was all the Lord! HE IS SO ELECT! He even worked on the broken pipes in the Tupelo building!!!! That's why the pipes broke!!!!! AAHHHHHHHHHHHHH! He's getting baptized on February 28th!!!!!!! Joshua, what an answer to prayer. This experience was just as if God literally told me himself "Trust me I got this!" Thank you, thank you Heavenly Father.

Love you So much!

Hey!!!

Hey Fam!

How are y'all? It sounds like y'all are pretty busy. How's Lauren doing? I've been thinking of her this week, Utah State is the place to be! How's Alyssa and Devin? Are they all good in Michigan? Mom how are ya? I'm sorry I haven't written anyone in a long time. It's February! Wahoo!

I'm doing great. Sister Training Leader Life is exhausting but fun. It's basically the same mission life just more people to take care of and more places to go. A lot of driving.  This week as been crazy! We went on three exchanges this week! I went to Russellville, New Albany, and took Sister West to Tupelo! It's really fun to see all the different areas and meet all sorts of people. I get to work with so many sisters! It's too great:) I learn a ton of teaching tips and mission tips from all of them. The Sisters here are AMAZING MISSIONARIES!

Did I tell y'all that I'm serving near Elder Posadas and Elder Hamblin again! Decatur is going through the same route in the mission:) By the way Sister Wittwer my trainer is coming home this transfer, so y'all will have to go to her homecoming in Bountiful:) Elder Smith is here too from the Madison Zone crazy!

On our way to exchange on the Nachez Trace highway, (a beautiful highway through trees without number where Lamanites are buried!) we stopped to take a pick and this man wanted to bash with us. Crazy people. Don't they know it's true! Every time that happens my testimony is so much stronger. These experiences teach me to ask the right questions in my prayers in order to make my testimony steadfast in Christ! He was arguing about the Trinity. I'm so extremely grateful for prayer and the spirit. We can know my friends. Pray and ask if it's true!

Love you!
