I've been wondering why
I'm in Tupelo and why I'm an STL. I received an answer this week. After MLC
Sister Allred and I decided to have a sister conference call. In this
conference call I was super honest about my life long struggles with
perfectionism, negative thoughts, and how I've learned to rely on the Lord. I
knew the sisters needed to hear it, but not gonna lie it was hard to tell
everyone my weakness because I'm very much still working on yoking myself to
the Savior. Listening to the wrong voice is something I have to fix every day
of my life. Some days are better than others, but I don't like to have people
notice I'm struggling. The spirit told me to share my experiences so I did. I
hope it helped the sisters. My answer to my prayer was that I need to get over
the powerful effect I can have on people, be myself, and lead by example. I'm
progressing.

Our thoughts control our destiny.
This week was like one big Emmaus experience! We met Joshua! Once upon a time we contacted 123 people in the mall during hour of power and only 2 people said they were interested. This week we walked into Wendy's and started talking to a man and he proceeded to tell us his whole life story and how he doesn't know his purpose, wants to come closer to God, and doesn't know why he is in Tupelo. He continued to explain that his girlfriend told him that she was having his baby, but she found out that it wasn't his 5 months in! This man was lost and confused and we just happened to run into him at Wendy's! It was all the Lord! HE IS SO ELECT! He even worked on the broken pipes in the Tupelo building!!!! That's why the pipes broke!!!!! AAHHHHHHHHHHHHH! He's getting baptized on February 28th!!!!!!! Joshua, what an answer to prayer. This experience was just as if God literally told me himself "Trust me I got this!" Thank you, thank you Heavenly Father.
